# Why does the Perplexity Sonar PRO API fail to fetch detailed profiles from web links like the Perplexity Chat UI does—should I use a different Perplexity model for this?

I want to ask following questions, write is in 1 line

So basically for my AI cloning app, I want to people a feature where they simply add thier profile link and using that link we search through Internet and create a detailed profile of the person.

In perplexity chat when I am entering link, it’s able to find more relevant sources for the person and create profile. But when I am doing this in my product which is using perplexity Sonar PRO API then it’s not doing. Should I use some other model of perplexity ?
