Hi, on our console we got the hint that the chat completions API is moving to the Agent API.

We want to migrate our platform, but since we have given our customers a ZDR commitment, it doesn’t seem possible to migrate to Agent API. The docs state: “The Agent API persists response and conversation state server-side so responses can be retrieved (`store`) or continued (`previous_response_id`). Setting `store: false` only hides a response from retrieval — it does not disable persistence, and the response can still be used as a continuation source.”

While the privacy policy had this statement for the completions API:

Perplexity maintains a strict **Zero Data Retention Policy** for the Chat Completions API.

What is the expected way to migrate to the Agent API when we have a ZDR agreement with our customers?

okay, well, if there is no way we are switching from perplexity to bedrock agent search. We can’t use an API without ZDR.
