Duplicate / fork a session into a clean, independently shareable co

erplexity sessions are valuable as research workspaces, but their early turns often contain exploratory prompts, corrections, restatements, and discarded approaches. Before sharing a result, users need a clean version of the thread that retains the established context without exposing the full working history.

Please add a Duplicate Session or Fork Session option that creates a new private, editable copy of an existing session. Ideally, the feature would offer choices such as:

  • Duplicate the entire session

  • Fork from a selected message onward

  • Create a clean copy using selected prompts and answers

  • Preserve sources, uploaded files, project association, and model/settings where possible

  • Let the copied session be independently edited and shared

This would make Perplexity substantially better for iterative research, teaching, collaboration, and publishing—where the exploratory process is useful privately but not appropriate for a recipient-facing shared link

Hello @Nosmo_King ,

Thank you for your suggestion! This forum only has access to the API platform and features. I believe that the forking feature is only available in perplexity.ai. Please use the “share feedback” feature in the main Perplexity application to route your suggestion to the correct team.

Thank you very much!

Andrew
