Hello Perplexity Team,
I would like to suggest introducing a Presenter Mode in Perplexity focused on improving privacy when users share their screen while presenting or demonstrating Perplexity to others.
When using Perplexity during a presentation, workshop, classroom session, or client demonstration, sharing a browser or application window can unintentionally expose previous searches, conversations, sensitive information, or unrelated work visible in the interface.
Presenter Mode could address this by providing a dedicated presentation interface where the audience can see only the active search, conversation, or content being presented, while the presenter retains private access to their history.
Potential functionality:
- Hide previous searches, conversations, and other history from the audience.
- Allow the presenter to continue accessing their history privately.
- Provide a clean, distraction-free interface for demonstrations.
- Prevent accidental exposure of unrelated or sensitive information when navigating Perplexity.
- Clearly indicate when Presenter Mode is active so users know what is visible to the audience.
This would be particularly valuable for professional presentations, client meetings, classroom instruction, workshops, and live AI demonstrations, where searches or conversations may contain confidential or personally sensitive information.
I believe Presenter Mode could serve as an important privacy safeguard rather than simply being a presentation convenience. It would give users greater confidence when demonstrating Perplexity without requiring them to manually close or hide their history beforehand.
Thank you for considering this suggestion.
Best regards,
Suryanshu
