Given the high volume of demand since launch, the Gateway API is moving to a private preview with access by request.
If you don’t have preview access, Gateway requests will return a 403. All other Perplexity API endpoints are unaffected.
To request access, email api@perplexity.ai with your organization, what you’re building, and your expected volume.
We know sudden changes are disruptive, and we appreciate your patience while we scale access deliberately. We’ll post updates here as preview capacity opens.
