I’m reporting what appears to be a Notion Connector regression affecting the iOS app.
Summary
The Notion Connector worked normally on both Perplexity iOS and Web/Computer in June 2026.
At some point in July 2026, the iOS Notion Connector stopped working. The same Perplexity account and the same Notion workspace still work normally on Web/Computer.
I am currently using Perplexity iOS v26.30.1, and the problem is still present.
Reproduction / Current behavior
Same Perplexity account:
- Web/Computer → Notion Connector: WORKS
- iOS app v26.30.1 → Notion Connector: DOES NOT WORK
This is therefore not an issue that affects my Notion workspace or the underlying Notion authorization globally.
Timeline
- June 2026: Notion Connector worked on both iOS and Web/Computer.
- Early/mid July 2026: iOS Notion Connector stopped working.
- July–August 2026: Web/Computer continues to work normally.
- August 10, 2026: iOS app v26.30.1 still cannot use the Notion Connector.
Important troubleshooting information
I have already verified that:
- The same Notion workspace is accessible through Perplexity Web/Computer.
- The same Perplexity account is being used.
- The Notion Connector itself is therefore functioning server-side for this account.
- Re-authenticating or reconnecting Notion does not resolve the iOS problem.
- Updating the Perplexity iOS app to the current version, 26.30.1, does not resolve it.
Because Web/Computer works with the same account and Notion workspace, I do not believe this is a Notion permission, OAuth, or workspace-sharing problem.
Possible regression
I noticed that Perplexity had several Connector-related issues and changes during July 2026, including reports of Connector/session dispatch problems and Notion Connector failures.
This makes me suspect that the iOS client may still have a Connector/session/tool-dispatch regression introduced during the July Connector changes.
In particular, I would appreciate it if the engineering team could check whether the iOS client is correctly:
- Loading the account’s existing Notion Connector entitlement;
- Attaching the Notion Connector to a new conversation;
- Dispatching Notion Connector tool calls from iOS;
- Maintaining the Connector/session state after authentication;
- Using the same Connector backend/API path as Web/Computer.
What I am NOT asking for
Please do not simply reset or revoke my Notion authorization unless necessary.
Since the exact same account and Notion workspace work correctly on Web/Computer, repeatedly reconnecting Notion is unlikely to resolve the iOS-specific problem and could potentially disrupt the currently working Web/Computer connection.
Requested investigation
Could you please check whether this is a known iOS Notion Connector regression introduced during the July 2026 Connector changes?
If there is already an internal bug/incident for this issue, I would appreciate having this report associated with it.
I would also appreciate confirmation of whether Notion Connector is currently officially supported on the iOS app, and if so, whether v26.30.1 is expected to support it.
Thank you.
