I am a user using the API, but in the case of languages other than English, the performance is so poor that I cannot use it with the currently available model.
Can you make it possible to utilize the OpenAI and Claude models used in the UI when using the API? If this is not supported, users in languages other than English will not be able to use the API.
Hey! Unfortunately, we only support Sonar through our APIs. If you wanted to make a language specific query, I would use the web_search_options.user_location parameter in the docs: https://docs.perplexity.ai/api-reference/chat-completions
You can also try to modify the system prompt to make it respond in the desired language.
