When creating an avatar video with a layout that shows me in the background, I often want to use a letter or one-page document as the visual background.
Right now I can only upload image files like JPEG, and even then the page does not fit the frame correctly.
I have to manually drag the corners to resize the image, and when I set it as the background it still cuts off the sides and does not show the full document.
This makes the result look less professional and slows down my workflow every time I record a new video setting the BG with a document or image. I would like AI Studio to support uploading PDFs directly as a background layer, not just JPEGs or PNGs.
When I choose “Set as background,” the page should automatically scale and fit within the video canvas so the entire document is visible without cropping.
An option to choose “Fit to width,” “Fit to height,” or “Fit whole page” would give even more control for different video layouts.
Ideally, this would work both for single-page PDFs and for selecting a specific page from a multi-page PDF to use as the background. This feature would be especially useful for people who present letters, proposals, or one-page summaries on camera and want the document cleanly visible behind them.
Having automatic “fit page to background” behavior would save significant time and help the final avatar videos look more polished and professional.
