The Perplexity iOS app currently locks the interface to portrait orientation, even though iOS itself supports rotation. This becomes a real limitation whenever an answer includes something wider than a phone screen is tall — comparison tables, generated charts, or long source lists get cramped and hard to read, and there’s no way to rotate the phone to get more horizontal room.
I’m not asking for the entire app to be redesigned for landscape — even a partial fix would help a lot. Specifically:
- Allow landscape orientation at minimum for expanded source lists, generated tables, and charts within an answer.
- If full-screen landscape support isn’t feasible short-term, consider a “view in landscape” toggle just for these wide content blocks, similar to how some apps let you rotate only a specific image or table.
This would meaningfully improve readability for anyone using an iPhone (especially larger models like Pro Max) or iPad to review research-heavy answers. Thanks for considering it.
