Free Tier users often waste their 3 pro searches on useless queries like what’s the weather today?, so i have an concept that can make free users value their tokens and discover Perplexity’s true power.
My concept is that the user no longer gets pro searches but gets something called tokens, free users gets 3 tokens per day just like pro searches but tokens are way better, its because token have 3 usages which are… Usage in Perplexity Computer, Usage in Deep Research and Pro Searches.
The limit is that these tokens doesn’t mean 3 tokens for each feature, you only have 3 and you have to choose to spend it wisely meaning you can make random combinations like 2 computer prompts and 1 deep research etc.
These tokens are granted to every user daily just like the Pro searches, the amount vary on your subscription like if you’re a pro subscriber you get 300 tokens because that’s the same amount of pro searches pro user gets.
Not only it let people feel the true power of Perplexity it also can be a “Test Before You Buy” option so people can test what Max users experience before subscribing.
