Feature Request
If you haven’t heard of Proton before, it’s and online Service that provides users with a Drive, Mail, Calendar and some more services similar to Google but much more focussed on privacy.
This feature request suggest to provide an Option to connect Perplexity with Proton Drive, Calendar and Mail similar as already possible with the corresponding google services. As an increasing amount of people uses Proton from day to day, this would be benefitial to both Proton Users that already have Perplexity as well as possible new Customers thinking about getting Perplexity.
Problem Statement
As of now, there is no Integration with Proton Services.
Proposed Solution
Connection to Proton Services analogously as it is implemented for Google as of now. For Proton Drive there exists and API (that is used by proton bridge and inofficial file syncing clients like rclone).
API Impact
- Which API component is affected? This feature would not change the Perplexity API as it is just about an integration into the responses of an existing API.
- Is this related to a specific model? no
- Would this require new API parameters or changes to existing ones? no
Alternatives Considered
There is no workaround as it would be unproportionally expensive in terms of time to provide perplexity with the information needed. The only alternative is to not use perplexity when accessing Proton Services.
