Hi Perplexity Team,
I’d like to suggest a feature that I think would greatly improve the Perplexity experience: a native reminder and email notification system.
Currently, to receive reminders via email, users have to rely on third-party tools like Google Calendar, FollowUpThen, or Zapier. While Perplexity already has Tasks, Spaces, and Gmail/Outlook connectors, there is no built-in way for Perplexity itself to send a scheduled reminder email to a user.
My suggestion:
- Allow users to set reminders directly within a Perplexity chat or Space (e.g. “Remind me about this every Monday at 9am”)
- Perplexity sends the reminder email from its own server (e.g. reminders@perplexity.ai) to the user’s registered email
- Reminders can be linked to research threads, tasks, or Spaces for full context
- Options for one-time or recurring reminders
Why this matters:
Perplexity is already a powerful productivity and research assistant. Adding native reminders would close the loop and make it a truly end-to-end workflow tool — without users needing to leave the platform or connect external services.
This would be especially valuable for Pro and Max subscribers who already use Perplexity for daily research, job searching, task management, and automation.
Thank you for building such an incredible product. I hope this feature makes it onto the roadmap.
Best regards,
Jagat Acharya
